Take Me Out To The Ball Game Please join us for a family friendly event on July 19th watching the Reno Aces baseball team play the Tacoma Rainiers. We had so much fun at this event last year, we decided to do this event again. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. on July 19th. Watch the game with us in luxury in the Bugsy Sports Bar/Overlook area, complete with great views and padded seats. Enjoy the game with your family and friends in the best seats in the house! Summer Garden Party Celebrating 40 Years of Leading Lady Lawyers On August 16, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., we will host a garden party honoring the NNWLA Past Presidents at the home of the Honorable Lynne Simons. This will be an elegant evening that you will not want to miss! Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] by August 9, 2018. If you are a NNWLA Past President, please keep an eye out for an invitation to the event with an earlier RSVP deadline of July 13, 2018. We will be doing something special for our Past Presidents at the event, which will require a little more advance notice. Our Most Successful Lawyer in the Library Event! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us at our May NNWLA Lawyer in the Library event. Due to our dedicated volunteers, we were able to serve over 80 members of this community! This is the largest amount of community member we have ever been able to help at one of our events. Thank you again for spending your evening with us to benefit our community. Understanding Workplace Experiences of Legal Professionals: Project Survey The ABA and Burton Blatt Institute of Syracuse University would like to invite attorneys and paralegals to participate in a short survey. The survey is aimed at better understanding the workplace experience of today's legal professionals. Below please find the official survey notice: Dear Colleague, You and your networks of legal professions are invited to participate in a first-of-its-kind project aimed at better understanding the workplace experiences of today’s legal professionals. The research project examines the opportunities and challenges facing individuals in the legal profession of the 21st century, with consideration of women, minorities, people of differing sexual orientations and gender identities, people with disabilities, and others. The American Bar Association is partnering with the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University on this study. The 15-minute survey is anonymous and voluntary. It is approved by the Syracuse University Human Subjects Review Board. The findings will be used to help develop best practices in the legal profession.
