NEVADA BAR SEEKS EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBER
Volunteer Opportunity: Join Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board
The State Bar of Nevada has committee and board vacancies waiting to be filled by the right volunteers. In addition to being a great experience and a wonderful way to become involved, serving on a state bar committee or board is an excellent way to expand your professional network and to make contacts with Nevada attorneys who work in a variety of different practice areas.
Those interested should visit the bar's website and complete the Committee Application form for New Members.
The Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board has one vacancy. Attorneys with backgrounds in all areas of law and a familiarity with publishing are sought to serve on the Editorial Board, which is responsible for overseeing the editorial content in Nevada Lawyer magazine.
Board members rotate monthly issue editor duties; during the assigned month, the editor solicits, collects, reviews, edits and approves feature stories and cover art. Board members meet monthly via teleconference and twice annually in person in August and March for a full day. Committee members are appointed by the Board of Governors for three-year terms.
